121 Coaching
Coaching is beneficial for anyone looking for a safe, confidential place in which you can explore your thinking.
The Leadership School offers a range of 1-2-1 coaching for both Leaders and aspiring Leaders.
Our approach to coaching is to work as a partner with you. We begin by building a relationship of mutual trust, honesty and respect, from which we can support and challenge you to think through and achieve your goals. Coaching can help silence your inner critic, giving you space to think and grow.
We recommend that you start by holding an informal ‘chemistry’ meeting with one of our coaches and then, if you would like to proceed, you book a series of 3 or 4 coaching sessions.
“Following our coaching session, I spoke with my line manager about my role and recognition. It turned out to be really positive! As a result of this, I have received a salary increase and our relationship has improved dramatically. Thank you as without our coaching session I don’t believe I’d have felt empowered enough to affect change in the way I did”

Types of Coaching
In general we divide the coaching work we do into four key areas:
Transition Coaching is the process of helping you through a period or process of change, such as moving to a new role or a different company, or taking on a leadership position. These changes can be exciting but may also provoke uncertainty and even fear. Within a safe and supportive environment, you are given the space and the tools to explore your thoughts and feelings, identify your priorities and clarify the resources and information you have in order to succeed in your new role.
Performance Alignment is perfect for those times when things just don’t seem to be going the way you want them to, and is aimed at those times when you feel you have temporarily ‘lost your footing’, are concerned about your performance and maybe you are lacking in confidence. By providing a supportive ear and a fresh perspective, Performance Alignment helps your get ‘back on track’ and return to enjoying all elements of your life.
Career Coaching offers you the chance to review your career situation by exploring the four specific areas of: talents and strengths, values, interests and passions, along with market and personal considerations. With a clearer understanding of each area, you can make informed decisions about the direction you want to move in and the steps to take to get there. We can also offer additional advice and guidance on such topics such as CV creation, interview preparation and making a positive first impression.
Shadow Coaching involves having a professional coach join you in your day-to-day environment, observing how you behave and the impact you have on others. Feedback is then given in private sessions so that you can discuss any differences between your intentions and the reality that was observed, as well as formulating plans to achieve greater alignment between the two.
