Building a High-Performing Team

Each team is unique as it will have different characters, a different purpose and operate within difference circumstances.

However, for a team to be described as ‘high-performing’, there are specific elements that are required to be in place and be working well and this is true for all teams including those who:

  • operate in the same location

  • are remote or dispersed team

  • include staff members alongside volunteers

  • are project teams

  • are partnership or coalition teams (for example; those that feature representatives from different organisations)

In this two day workshop we:

  • start by looking at the role of the leader themselves and how, when and how they can flex and adapt their leadership style in response to some of the different team characters.

  • explore the purpose of the team; why the team is important and what it is there to achieve.

  • identify what the success factors are that need to be in place for this team and how to measure success.

  • discuss ways to foster positive team behaviours and face into negative team behaviours.

What a past Leadership School participant said:

After many years of leading my team we are now having the first open, honest and unfiltered conversations together. This programme has given me the courage to ask the questions that we have all been avoiding for years
