Coaching for Success

John Whitmore (in his book: Coaching for Performance) describes that the many benefits of using a coaching approach include:

  • More time for the line manager

  • Improved performance and productivity

  • Fast track learning

  • Faster and more effective thinking

  • Increased quality of decision-making

  • Better engaged individuals and team

  • More creative problem-solving

So – imagine how powerful it could be if more line managers, senior executives and directors took a coaching approach to unleash the potential in their teams

This is a 2-day programme with the days scheduled 6-8 weeks apart. In between the two workshops each participant practices their coaching with their teams/colleagues and with each other. A minimum of two coaching sessions take place and each participant logs their experience in a coaching journal.

Day 1) Building Your Coaching Toolkit

  • An introduction to coaching and what coaching is and isn’t.

  • Identification of what is most critical in the role of a successful coach.

  • Exploration of the GROW model for 121 coaching.

Day 2) Flexing Your Coaching Toolkit

  • Review of the coaching practice sessions and learnings.

  • Embedding the GROW model and flexing it to fit different circumstances.

  • Using a coaching approach with groups and teams.

What a past Leadership School participant said:

Fantastic, enlightening 2 days, learnt a lot, feel a lot closer to colleagues that took part and learnt a substantial amount about myself! I now have lots of great tools and the confidence (self-belief) to assist my peers and team
