Start with Why by Simon Sinek/Find your Why by Simon Sinek, David Mead and Peter Docker.
Unbelievably Simon Sinek’s book ‘Start with Why’ was first published in 2009 – and it feels even more critical in today’s world of turbulence, change and uncertainty.
Simon’s TED talk, entitled ‘How great leaders inspire action’, became one of the most-watched TED talks ever! If you haven’t already seen it then we recommend that you invest 18 minutes to watch it;

In the talk Simon explains the golden circle and the three rings of why, how and what – with the centre circle, the ‘why’, being the most important and often overlooked.
His book ‘Start with Why’ delves deeper into the facts and evidence behind ‘why’ your ‘why’ is so important and is packed full of real life examples of those that have clearly understood and been able to articulate their ‘why’ – and those who haven’t.
Whilst the book is likely to get you inspired and convinced of ‘why’ your ‘why’ is so important – it doesn’t help you to know where to begin however the second book; ‘Start with Why’ has the process!
It is a practical and comprehensive step-by-step guide for you to use to find your own individual ‘why’ and to help your team or organisation find their collective ‘why’.
Definitely a top read for anyone looking to develop their own leadership impact, the impact of their team and/or their organisation.
